Alpine (downhill) skiing

3.                What standard of skiing do we aim for?

 

DWV has members ranging from purely recreational skiers who ski

just for fun, to skiers who have represented their country at

international level.

 

 

4.                How does it all work?

 

Skiers are provided with the help they need to do what they

want to do on snow. Blind skiers have a guide who calls

instructions to the skier. Amputees use "outrigger"

skis rather than normal stocks to provide turning

control. Wheelchair users use sit skis.
