DWV is a voluntary organisation that seeks to encourage disabled people to participate in all aspects of snow sports.

Our aim is to convince individuals and organisations that DISABLED PEOPLE CAN SKI and to provide those with disabilities the opportunity to try skiing and other snow activities.

Membership of DWV is open to all disabled persons (whatever the nature of their disability), their families, and to any individual or organisation wishing to support our ideals.

DWV maintains several items of adaptive equipment for use by its members: Sit-skis for paraplegics, Quad chairs for quadriplegics, outriggers for amputees, and walking frames on skis for anyone needing extra support or stability but who does not need a sit ski. We are also supported by a sled dog team which is available to those without any other means of enjoying an on snow experience.

DWV’s national parent body is Disabled Wintersports Australia - (02) 6495 2082 .
